Nungua, a town that lies between Teshie and Tema and also a suburb of Accra is on the brink of parting away with the old ways of administering land. The town is set to be a model town for others to look up to in terms of socio-economic development.
According to Wradi Keda Bortey, Coordinator and Spokesperson for the Nungua Stool, this feat will be made possible through a comprehensive and a laudable developmental agenda that has been put in place.
Speaking to The Statesman on the developmental agenda of the town in light of the released of Nungua lands acquired by government, Mr Keda Bortey disclosed that the town will soon embark on a massive educational empowerment drive.
To this effect, the Nungua Senior High School will soon be relocated to the new site and its present buildings converted into a clinic. He explained that this is to enable the school to expand its present facilities and also provide conducive atmosphere for learning. The school is presently positioned close to the main Nungua Tema road, a lorry station and a busy market.
